Non Toxic Cleaning Products Part 2

Continuing on from our last post and lots of research, we are now using a multi purpose non toxic product to clean! Maybe I’m wet behind the ears, but I hadn’t heard of Castile soap and it’s diverse usefulness. Thankfully this lovely base for our cleaning product is completely natural and organic! We simply mix it with distilled water, and a few naturally anti bacterial essential oils. Our favourites are tea tree and peppermint for a very fresh and zingy scent. Castile soap mixed with baking soda makes a fantastic cleaner for stainless steel too, just rinse and buff for a sparkly finish. We’ve also tested out a range of supermarket products, we’re currently using Ecover’s toilet cleaner which has a really pure smell and doesn’t get on your lungs like a lot of other cleaning materials. We love the fact that their products are mostly plant based, and are never tested on animals (yay!). In conclusion, we’ve realised we were using way too many products for cleaning and the amount of toxins in them were not sitting right with us. Being able to use a homemade all natural product feels very liberating and so much simpler.
